Faculty Positions: Two Adult Health and One Lab Coordinator for Skills/Simulation Lab. Nominations and applications are invited for these tenure-track positions to begin August 2011. These positions are at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor on Nursing depending on credentials and experience. The rank of Associate Professor requires a doctoral degree.
Scope and Primary Functions:
The faculty member is responsible for teaching and implementing of the course to which he/she is assigned. He/she works collaboratively with all faculty assigned to the course.
Authority and Accountability of the Position:
The faculty member is accountable to the Director of the School of Nursing for designated functions.
Education, training, experience:
Required Qualifications: Minimal requirement is Masters in Nursing with major in medical-surgical clinical area; Doctorate in nursing or related field preferred. National certification/advanced practice licensure beneficial. Background of current clinical experience, eligibility for Registered Nurse Licensure in Tennessee and written evidence of maintenace of expertise in area of responsibility required. Prior teaching experience in area of responsibility is beneficial.
$5,000 sign on bonus for hired candidates with doctorate in nursing.
