Key Responsibilities Create rich web and mobile web applications as a member of an agile software development team Establish and implement best practices and standards for mobile web application development Work with other team members to define and develop required APIs Work with product owners to write user stories and refine product features throughout the development process Estimate items in the development backlog in conjunction with other team members and assist in developing product plans and road maps Maintain uptodate expertise in all applicable web development concepts practices and procedures Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations on their adoption Contribute to improving the software development processes within the team and across the Company Support Operations in diagnosing and troubleshooting bugs and performance issues in production Provide technical support and assistance to other engineers within the team and in other teams Essential Skills 4+ years experience developing web andor mobile applications Deep knowledge of HTML5 CSS coding and best practices Expert javascript developer familiar with mobile javascript libraries such as jQuery mobile Experience with the principles and practices of responsive web design Ability to learn quickly and take ownership of tasks process and products Excellent communication (written and verbal) time management and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail troubleshooting and analytical skills Ability to work as a team member in a dynamic work environment Ability to work well with rapid deployment cycles and tight deadlines Desirable Skills Experience with iOS native mobile application development Experience with javascript based mobile development frameworks such as Phone Gap Current knowledge of mobile trends and related projects Experience working with lightweight web development frameworks such as Grails or RubyonRails Groovy or Java coding experience desirable
