Responsible for operational functions relating to Mineral procedures and the coordination of that process with the Mineral Manager .

Duties & Responsibilities

Set up leases and mineral interests, withdraw and transfer all mineral assets on the Trust Accounting System and on Mineral Management (OGSYS).

Process and post all Mineral Asset income through the Trust Accounting System and the Mineral Management System in a timely manner within the confines of our Policy and Procedures.

Enter all information on Mineral Management System as reported on oil company payment statements. Verify data input, balance and transmit information to trust accounting system.

Process, pay, and file all Mineral Asset billings in a timely manner.

Maintain and control balances daily. Close out each month on the Mineral Management System monthly; perform year end processing on the Trust Accounting System annually; balance Form 1099 income reporting with Mineral Management System data annually.

Maintenance both system as necessary

Set up and withdraw mineral interests Tax Processor (IGC); pay ad valorem taxes in conjunction with Tax Processor.

Generate and process Division Orders and verify property transfers under the supervision of Mineral Manager.

Process annual Reg. 9 Mineral Interest Reviews.

File all royalty receipts, working interest income receipts, working interest expense vouchers, correspondence, etc. in mineral interest files.

Provide assistance and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications


High school diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

2 years data entry

2 years mineral accounting

Good verbal and written skills


PC proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software


Type 50 – 60 wpm

Preferred Qualifications


Some college courses with emphasis in business or accounting

Work Experience

Oil and gas experience that includes accounting, review of Division Orders, Royalty Interests, JIB’s, ad valorem taxes


Mineral interest revenue accounting computer programs

Trust Accounting Systems
