Anchorage Role synopsis The Project Services Lead will be responsible for providing overall project services support (WBS, cost, schedule, and project planning) for the Construction. This position will report to the Construction Manager which is part of the larger Core Programs PGM Team within BP Alaska (BPXA) Project Organization.

Key accountabilities
Work and communicate with a multi-disciplined team to ensure consistent reporting. This should include schedules and project narratives aligning with the cost reporting. This position will be required to understand the use of the schedule and the expectations of BP Project Deliverables
Ensure Primavera schedules are properly built and integrated into resource loaded plan
Analyze estimates to ensure proper method applications, allowing for progress and forecasting of the projects’ required elements
Coordinate with contractors to verify progress, track trends, maintain schedule and cost reporting integrity
Develop project recovery plans using necessary project tools and process, including critical path analysis
Ensure maintenance of cash flow and baseline requirements
Offer suggestions to improve productivity and cost savings
Assist with the long-term plan spend projections, cost reconciliations and variance analyses
Coordinate with Project Team to develop Work Breakdown Structure and Cost Breakdown Structure for front end planning
Interface with other functions and teams to improve processes, resolve conflicting priorities and ensure adherence to best project practices (ex: financial controls, PSCM, Accenture, etc.)
Essential Education Four year college degree or equivalent Project Services experience

Essential experience and job requirements
The Project Services Lead should have a minimum of 7 years of project experience with a minimum of 4 years project services related experience preferably within Oil & Gas Industry
Strong communication skills both written and oral are a requirement
Experience in staffing and leading a team will be evaluated
Desirable criteria & qualifications
Ability to work well with entire Alaska Projects Organization
Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines
Ability to understand fundamental project services concepts – planning, estimating, scheduling, cost analysis, procurement, contract management both on project phasing, project and program levels and their impact (what is required and how they inter-relate) – strategy development, contract administration, invoicing, etc. owner role, agency role, contractor role & direction and how that is applied
Ability to analyze estimates to ensure proper method applications, allowing for progress and forecasting of the projects’ required elements
Strong interpersonal skills communicating with peers and the ability to communicate constructively in group settings, taking the lead when required
Self-Motivated and pro-active
Enjoy taking on new challenges and responsibilities
Strong computer skills with ability to navigate & learn various software databases
The ability to learn and utilize new skills is essential
Various computer skills will be utilized such as: SAP, Primavera and Microsoft Office
