DESCRIPTION

Automotive manufacturing and distribution facility in growth mode requires a hands-on, technically competent and effective leader in the role of Manufacturing Engineer.

Maintains efficiency and effectiveness of all production related manufacturing equipment & processes required to manufacture high quality product in a repeatable and cost effective manner

DUTIES

  • Drive improvements in all related manufacturing processes, including those related to products, equipment, human interface and product quality
  • Accounts for all associated metrics management, financial management, staffing, leadership, strategic development and execution, process development, product support and new process development/qualification
  • Builds and sustains strong interactive relationships with production and materials functions, customer service, management and support processes
  • Ensures timely technical support required for critical process and product issue resolution as well as initiates technical direction to the engineer available for all product builds and process operations
  • The Manufacturing Engineering Manager must be a leader, strategic thinker and problem solver
  • He/she must combine a detailed technical knowledge with business functions, and operations management
  • Well organized, disciplined and self motivated
  • Capability to balance multiple priorities related to operations and organization
  • Effectively communicates across all levels of internal staff and to external customers professionally
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrate time management and leadership skills
  • Capacity to manage competing priorities and tasks, set priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • Uses logic and reasoning to offer solutions to problems
  • Proficiency with computer software programs: Microsoft Offcie Suite, AutoCAD and Aegis
  • Thorough understanding and practical application of the quality management system
  • Demonstrates current expertise in one or more World Class Manufacturing process and method; Lean, Kaizen, Kanban, 5C, 5S, TPM and other advanced manufacturing methodologies, tools and concepts
  • Clear, consistent and timely organizational and communication skills
  • Mentors workforce in new processes and procedures
