Job Summary A crucial component of the revised Educational Technology MA program is an ongoing series of 4-day Gatherings, to be organized in cooperation with the Institute for Innovation in Education, Interactive Communications & Simulations, and global project partner organizations such as M-Ubuntu (South Africa), Sultan Quaboos Cultural Center (Oman), Parks and Museum of Cozumel (Mexico), and DevInfo (U.S.A./India/Singapore). These Gatherings will be key focal points for planning long-term student projects and collaborations, and for sustaining and growing the larger professional community within which the MA program is situated.

This position will coordinate these Gatherings in conjunction with the Graduate Programs Director. The position will create collaborations between students, faculty and various institutes on behalf of the MA program.

Responsibilities* -Help conceive, organize and operate upcoming Institute for Innovation in Education events in Michigan and abroad.
-Manage and support the professional community of educators participating in the MA program and IIE events and their ongoing projects.
-Support the development of student projects and implement and foster mentorship opportunities for project participants.
-Develop communications campaigns across various media and communication plans for current and prospective students, including reviewing, updating and improving interaction with prospective students and fostering relationships online among current students.
-Write, review, update and improve web content for the MA program and courses.
-Work with departmental faculty to coordinate and implement special projects, grant writing, reports, and presentations.
-Help design and implement assessment, and collect and analyze assessment data.

Required Qualifications* -Bachelor's Degree-Computer skills
-Written and oral communication skills
-Some marketing experience

Desired Qualifications* -Master's degree
-Advanced computer skills, including web design
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-In-depth experience with marketing and communications
-Experience in a higher education setting
-Analytical and critical thinking skills
