This position will be responsible to plan and prepare a full range of contract documents for industrial piping systems. Work to include problem analysis, design calculations and system layout, which may involve non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity. Ability to execute assignments requiring independent evaluation and judgment is necessary. Identify, recommend and defend preliminary designs. Develop, detail and check final designs. Produce 3D models and 2D drawing deliverables consistent with direction from registered professional. Apply principles and practices consistent with industry piping practices for plans, isometrics, lists and schedules. Coordinate the design and detailing activities through collaboration with with internal and external clients. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in drafting technology or related field is preferred. Associate degree or minimum 10 years of related progress detailing and design experience may substitute. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong written & verbal communication skills. Strong 3D design skills, with PDS preferred. Strong CAD skills with AutoCAD and Microstation, including advanced level commands. Field experience is desirable.
