As the Global HR Portfolio Director you will act as a leader of Portfolio Management for Global HR and will develop, oversee and drive a global vision and strategy for managing Nike's portfolio of HR programs and projects. You will leverage a strong background of operations excellence and continuous process improvement to maximize efficiencies across the portfolio, and demonstrate a solid knowledge of program and project management principles, including financial management, capacity planning, and impact analysis. You will focus on the direction and integration of multiple projects that have interconnected dependencies, and oversee shared resources, ensuring they are aligned and working cohesively. In this role, you will work with project management staff to plan and schedule HR programs and projects, track progress, identify, manage, and escalate risks, resolve issues, and facilitate cross-program coordination. You will also provide leadership ensuring the Global HR portfolio is aligned with business needs and priorities, produce and manage benefits realization metrics across the portfolio, and demonstrate leadership presence in difficult situations. - Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or related field; MBA preferred
- A minimum of 8 years' experience leading and managing large-scale, global, transformational programs
- Experience as a team leader; ability to motivate and develop staff
- Proven program management expertise; PMP or equivalent certification preferred
- Financial acumen; ability to prepare and manage portfolio forecasts and variances
- Strong understanding of HR processes, tools, applications and industry standards to ensure Nike HR strategies maximize value opportunities
- Experience with ERP solutions preferred
- Ability to navigate the Nike matrix and partner with other HR functions to ensure process standardization and adoption of best practices
- Ability to partner with regional and global stakeholders to address all channels of how Nike connects with its employees
- Proven track record of being results-oriented with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex business issues and organizational behavior
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to elicit information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully, and manage and resolve conflict
- Proven presentation and facilitation skills
- High degree of customer service at all levels of a business (internally and externally)
- Expertise building a consensus across business partners and technology partners, and influencing outcomes
- Must excel working in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others
- Experience working with remote teams strongly preferred
- Vendor management experience
- Ability to travel internationally up to 10% of the time
