Full-Time evening position for a Medical Laboratory Technical Coordinator - Blood Bank in the laboratory at the Banner Del Webb Medical Center facility in Sun City, AZ. MT(ASCP) or equivalent certification required
Requires 3-5 years of experience working within the laboratory.
Responsibilities:
Performs all essential functions of Testing Level V as defined by the department. Provides general operational oversight of area of responsibility under the direction of the Supervisor or Administrative Director. Provides advanced practical and theoretical skills as required to perform, evaluate, and determine the reliability of test results or procedures. Under the direction of the Supervisor, is responsible for compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements (e.g., CLIA '88, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA). Serves as a role model and mentor for teamwork and positive colleague interaction. Demonstrates highly developed analytical skills and comprehensive technical knowledge. Serves as a role model for teamwork and positive colleague interaction. Serves as a LSA/SQL System and department resource.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science, with MT (United States certification - ASCP or equivalent) certification, and 3 years applicable laboratory experience
OR
Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science, with MT or specialty (ASCP or equivalent) certification, a MT (HEW) certified technologist will be considered equivalent to BS, MT (ASCP). Individuals with specialty certification may only work in the discipline of their specialty.
