The Regional Sales Director is responsible for all activities relating to profitable sales growth in the region by developing and supporting a high performing and professional regional sales team. Create a pervasive sales culture that supports the management and achievement of sales objectives and corporate initiatives. Establish and implement sales forecasts, budgets and objectives, ensuring they are well communicated and understood.Monitor individual and team results through use of CRM platform- SalesForce.comTrack and measure the Territory Sales Managers' (TSM) individual performance directly and score their overall efforts through use of the TSM Report Card system as well as the TrakStar performance appraisal system. Coordinate and manage all aspects of the sales process through communication with all internal departments playing a key role in sales support (e.g. Business Development Support, Customer Care, Marketing, Design, Operations, Inventory Planning, Credit/Collections).Review and refine the flow of data for TSM pipelines. Support and/or drive the sales process for large national or regional accounts, partnering with the National Accounts Team when appropriate.Hire and train new Territory Sales Managers.Implement performance improvement plans when necessary.Assist in ongoing sales training efforts, development of new platforms , and setting agendas for regional sales meetings.Effectively handle escalated customer-related issues and problems. Build relationships with top accounts through periodic loyalty meetings.Conduct quarterly presentations to Executive Management focused around sales results, the current situation, and future strategies.Develop and apply networking skills including membership in trade groups, forums, social media and review of trade-related publications.Monitor own individual development through the Learn Center, CBI and other channels or programs.Utilize training and development resources for ongoing education on products, markets, tools, and processes. All other duties as may be assigned from time to time by management.
A Bachelors degree is preferred.Five+ years of demonstrated proficiency in sales management in a BtoB setting. It is also essential that this person have had a successful track record in outside sales covering a defined geographic territory. A combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to one of the employee standards listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.Experience related to healthcare sales a plus.Proficiency in the following core factors:Teamwork, Time Management / Priority Setting, Interpersonal Skills, Communication, Management Leadership, Motivating Others, Decision Quality and Judgment, Sales and Presentation Skills, People Development, Organizing, Strategic Thinking, Ethics Extensive travel (at least 90+ days per year) will be necessary to fully discharge the responsibilities of this position.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook We provide an attractive base salary, commensurate with experience, along with a structured sales commission program, a benefit plan which features medical, dental, Rx insurance, LTD, life insurance, 401 (k) and pension plan.
