Job Descriptions:
The Radars AN/TPQ-53 Fielding Coordinator is an integral team member of the Product Manager Radars program office and serves as the primary subject matter expert for Fielding, Training and Operational Availability of the AN/TPQ-53 Radar Systems directly reporting to PM Chief of Fielding and Training and ESP Radars Program Director. The AN/TPQ-53 Fielding Coordinator is responsible for the end to end planning, coordinating, scheduling, system shipment & tracking, execution and mission monitoring through to successful completion of the AN/TPQ-53 Fielding, New Equipment Training (NET) and Hand Off to Gaining Units (GU). The AN/TPQ-53 Fielding Coordinator provides primary across the board support to the Fielding and NET IAW AR 700 and to PM Radars AN/TPQ-53 Test Events, Training Events (e.g. Software & Hardware Upgrades, Delta, Displaced Equipment Training) as well as to Life-Cycle Documentation Validation, Verification and Acceptance. The Radars AN/TPQ-53 Fielding Coordinator works closely with the HQDA-G8 and TRADOC TCM for development and execution of an approved Fielding & Training Schedule. The Radars AN/TPQ-53 Fielding Coordinator maintains a Systems Accountability Tracker to identify the System by HW/SW Configuration and Serial Number issued to each GU. The ideal Radars AN/TPQ-53 Fielding Coordinator candidates has a well-rounded Radars systems background and will be a pro-active, energetic, assertive individual willing to do what is necessary to exceed the customer’s expectations for success across the total scope of Fielding and Training Mission. Individual must be a self-starter with the ability to function autonomously with little or no direct supervision. Must be able to prepare and present briefings to all levels of leadership and be able to clearly and accurately communicate (both verbally and in writing) complex thoughts and ideas. Must be comfortable interacting with and mentoring all military ranks from the newest soldier to the experienced leader.

Required Experience:
The following qualifications are required for positions. Educational requirements range from High School Graduate with 10-20 years of system field support experience, AA Degree with 8-15 years of system field support experience, Bachelor Degree with 8-10 years of system field support experience. Salary will depend upon experience and qualifications.

Preferred Work Location – Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Experience in AN/TPQ36 and/or AN/TPQ37 and the Q-53 radar system operations, fielding, supportability and maintenance. Knowledge and experience with the AN/TPQ-53 and Firefinder is a must and the Lightweight Counter Mortar Radar is a plus and highly desirable.

Knowledge and understanding of radar theory, radar design, field testing, and electro-mechanical maintenance analysis, including troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair/replace techniques, and documentation

Knowledge and experience with Radars Fielding and NET IAW AR 700-142

Knowledge and experience with the Army Field Service Support for Radar Systems

Knowledge and experience with preparing and maintaining system fielding and training logs, equipment HW/SW, serial numbers, gaining units, modifications, utilization records

A working knowledge of Army logistics and supply procedures, supply chain operations and inventory management in support of radar maintenance and operational availability is highly desirable

Ability to prepare briefing material and provide briefings to army field leaders, PM senior personnel, HQDA and TRADOC

Army Enlisted and NCO 13R MOS and Warrant Officer 131A or other service equivalent school trained and a minimum of 8 years of experience with Radar systems

Must be a US Citizen and possess a SECRET security clearance

Must be worldwide deployable and agree to sign a deployment agreement to deploy to a theater of operations, if directed

Have a valid US Driver’s License and be able to obtain a valid passport within 60 days of employment

Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds or more unassisted
