Provide analytical and project management support to design, implement and execute the Bank's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) objectives, communication plans and components. Serves as an integral member of the ERM team, enabling the transformation of the ERM objectives and goals into an ongoing aspect of the Bank's risk management processes, culture and way of doing business. Participates in system workgroups and project teams. Provides ad-hoc support to senior management. The level of work is considered advanced and staff work under minimal supervision.
Leads or supports high-priority and cross-functional District projects related to ERM.
Manages the Control Environment Assessment for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, including the annual Control Environment survey administration, analysis and action planning process.
Designs, leads and conducts facilitated risk and control sessions to gather risk-related information from senior management and business units.
Working closely with business areas, helps proactively identify risk exposures; develop key risk indicators and risk-related reporting ; monitor thresholds and report risk indicators to the organization on a regular basis; may develop risk models.
Supports business unit projects by leading and executing consulting engagements; project scope is typically highly complex and sensitive in nature; manages scope, schedule and resources to meet project deliverables; directs cross-functional and business-specific project teams in completing project deliverables.
Develops ERM risk management training tools, presentations, and other ERM educational materials; facilitates training sessions to Bank users on ERM technology and overall ERM objectives and risk management principles.
Seeks creative solutions in the implementation of assigned projects and identifies improvement opportunities as the ERM program is developed.
Maintains a high level of working knowledge regarding ERM industry practices, COSO control practices and project management disciplines; understands and promotes strong risk management, project management and process-improvement practices.
Maintains a solid understanding of the major businesses and functions of the Federal Reserve, both within the District and across the System.
Works collaboratively with internal audit, external auditors, BOG staff and business units to achieve ERM objectives.
Supports Senior Management by providing ad-hoc planning, analytical and project support.
Provides guidance, coaching and training to less experienced analysts; may assign tasks to cross-functional project teams and more junior staff.
Performs other duties as required.
Education & Experience:
7 plus years of related working experience; audit, regulatory or other similar experience a plus
Knowledge & Skills:
Exceptional skill and experience in managing complex processes and projects with an attention to detail
Solid understanding of project management, risk management and control disciplines
Demonstrated initiative and innovation in understanding new business processes, developing project plans and deliverables
Strong analytical skills and proven ability to apply, interpret, and explain complex data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including facilitation, presentation and report-writing skills and experience
Demonstrated ability to partner with, influence and challenge executive leaders
Outstanding teamwork and ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization
Able to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity
Proven ability to work effectively under tight time constraints and stressful situations
Able to tolerate highly dynamic and often ambiguous environments
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project: MS Acess a plus
