Our company is looking for an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager who can be a key contributor in a high-energy finance organization. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of combined experience in a leadership role at a global organization or public accounting firms. The individual must be a strategic thinker while having the proven ability to get into the day to day details.
Responsibilities
Responsible for timely and accurate close of the revenue cycle (Cash, AR and Revenue) and all associated reporting and reconciliations
Supervise the existing AR/Revenue accounting team and oversee daily functions
Collaborate with the other finance department managers and business partners to support overall department and company goals and objectives
Review all revenue related contracts to determine proper revenue recognition methodology, including complete accounting summary for each contract
Responsible for global revenue policies - Implement end to end revenue processes and address complexities relating to internationalization and revenue recognition
Responsible for ensuring the accounting system is in compliance with the latest revenue recognition literature and lead the system update or upgrade efforts if needed
Lead the development and implementation of new procedures and system features to enhance the workflow of the department
Interface with business groups throughout the Company – effectively communicating and educating on revenue recognition requirements and associated guidance
Accountable for resolving complex accounting and business operation issues
Lead efforts to build out new processes and structure addressing and improving the month end close processes
Provide ready-to-present analysis and findings of revenue results on a monthly basis
Proven ability to serve as a thought leader in developing methodologies and procedures, including ERP systems enhancements across key activities and projects
Provide support to ensure financial audit requirements are met
Ensure compliance to with SOX 404 key controls in the order to cash cycle, accurate GAAP reporting and audit requirements
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting - CPA or equivalent required
10+ years of work experience required, including public accounting experience, with at least 7+ years in hands-on support of revenue accounting cycles
Extensive knowledge of technical revenue accounting and operations; in particular revenue recognition accounting literature, including but not limited to, ACS 605, ACS 730, ACS 845, ACS 985.
Proven track record of leadership, influential, and set clear directions while constantly demonstrating the utmost integrity
Enjoy challenging opportunities to assist or co-design revenue solutions to addressing complex issues that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance team
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and often ambiguous work environment
Demonstrates proactive enthusiasm for solving problems and adding value to the company, including experience in managing complex operations

Proven record of leadership, strong business ethics, managing and growing a team
Strategic thinker with an attention to detail
Strong analytical, financial, accounting, communication and problem solving skills
Hands-on experience with Oracle and Aquarius Rev Stream ERP systems, and Microsoft Office suite required
