Responsibilities include:
Develop production processes aligned to standard Bill of Process strategies through system inquiry, simultaneous engineering, build, installation, and commissioning phases.
Emphasis on delivery and continuous improvement of safety, quality, and productivity.
Interface with Suppliers and Product Engineering
Responsible for equipment procurement – Ford purchasing system CPARS
Run-off equipment per Ford Specifications at supplier and plant to validate capability and robustness including safety
Ensure production systems meet all objectives through R&M, Process Design and FMEA's
Develop plans for machine tryout parts (MTO) parts - cost, quantity, location of build, quality, etc.
Lead Simo Engineering with supplier and plant/staff
Support QS 9000 and ISO 14000, PPAP and APQP processes
Support appropriate Six Sigma projects
Interface with plant personnel with appropriate timing and installation documentation, to ensure efficient/timely installation and validation
Use Lessons learned to develop program studies and improve standard Bill of Processes
Qualifications
Base knowledge of various test processes
Strong analytical ability
Application experience in computers and electronics
Programming experience
Ability to learn product function
Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Vibration/NVH analysis a plus
Mechanical engineering aptitude
Project management experience
Assembly process knowledge/experience
Machine design knowledge/experience
Mechanical engineering aptitude
Process flow/process development experience
Industrial operations experience
Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Experience in developing manual and automatic stations, as well as systems
Project management experience
