Distinguish between mechanical and electrical faults and perform repairs to correct problems. Utilize skills to fabricate and install new equipment and overhaul existing equipment. Must be able to successfully perform all requirements of Technician-Mechanic III according to START program requirements.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnosis on process support equipment
Correct and repair advanced mechanical faults on manufacturing process and support equipment
Understand how to troubleshoot equipment faults/failures and identify root causes
Report to management any quality and safety problems and potential production problems that are encountered while performing the job
Perform all job duties in a safe manner without bodily injury to self or others
Perform all related job duties and other responsibilities assigned by supervisor or department manager
Learn and use Ariba procurement system to order parts and supplies related to job
Learn and use EZ Entry/TPM system to set up and receive work instructions
Successful completion of START Technician-Mechanic III training program or have verifiable experience
Must be able to install, set up, and maintain lubrication systems
Must aid in the selection and sizing of mechanical power transmission systems
Must be able to install mechanical power transmission systems using proper techniques
Must be able to fabricate and install equipment based on supplied engineering drawings and design criteria
Must utilize advanced welding techniques in the fabrication process
Must be able to distinguish between mechanical and electrical equipment faults
Must be able to work with and train mechanic levels I and II
Must possess knowledge of plant utility systems (i.e. steam, compressed air, chiller systems, gas, etc.)
Verifiable experience performing mechanical work
Verifiable experience repairing machinery
The candidate chosen for this position may be hired at an interim job title and interim pay rate if all training and testing requirements for the position have not been successfully completed prior to hire/placement.
