Job Summary
Under general supervision, provides technical support to faculty, staff and students. Must be able to rapidly diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning AV equipment, computer hardware and software.
Responsibilities
Provides assistance in person and over the phone for classroom technology services including: classroom audiovisual systems, classroom video, equipment delivery, class delivery web applications, exam proctoring, help desk reception and general technical support. Selects, modifies, sets up and programs systems and equipment or procedures necessary to meet specific project requirements. Troubleshoots equipment, computers and peripherals. Creates and maintains records in the form of video, equipment reservations, trouble tickets and narrative reports. Operates or assembles related devices and systems according to instructions, manuals and personal knowledge of systems and components. Builds and maintains good working relationships with customers.
Minimum Qualifications
Preferences
High school diploma plus one year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, or equivalency; a valid Utah Driver’s License at time of hire; and, demonstrated human relation and
effective communication skills required.
Computer and audiovisual technical aptitude, knowledge of media production and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds are preferred.
