The Residence Hall Director is charged with the supervision of all program students housed in the residence hall, all residence hall activities and the coordination of all housing concerns for the Freshman Summer Program. FSP is a six-week academically intensive program designed to improve the retention of African-American, Latino, American Indian and rural/Applacian students admitted to the University of Kentucky for the 2013 fall semester.
Specific responsibiliteis include:
*Supervise student life activities during residence hall hours
*Monitor students' personal, academic and social development, and consult with a CARES counselor and/or director
*Resolve personal/social concerns arising in the residence hall; make referrals to CARES counselor and/or director
*Chaperone recreational, educational and cultural enrichment trips and activities
*Supervise Residence Hall Assistants
*Organize residence hall operations
*Perform other duties as requested by CARES staff

The Residence Hall Director must:

*exercise good judgement
*Make appropriate referrals to FSP Director and/or Appropriate staff
Preferred Education / Experience
Person applying for this position should be a college graduate. This person must also have a clean driving record and 5 years driving experience.
