DTZ, a UGL company, is a global leader in property services. In The Americas we offer occupiers and investors industry leading, end-to-end property solutions. In addition, our award-winning research and consulting services provide our clients with global and local market knowledge, forecasting, and trend analysis to make the best long-term decisions for their continuous success far into the future.
Our website ( www.dtz.com ) is a great source for more information about our firm, our people, the work we do, the clients we advise, and the transactions we have completed.
At DTZ, while your primary responsibility is generating new business, our associates are also involved working at the CEO/CFO level developing strategies to diagnose and solve business problems. Additional responsibilities expand to include preparing market surveys, conducting research on companies, and communicating with existing clients. With our substantial growth over the past few years, associates are expected to assume significant levels of responsibility requiring a high degree of maturity, self confidence, and analytical ability. The work is exciting and particularly challenging, especially during the first year.
OUR REAL ESTATE TRAINING PROGRAM
All associates participate in our development program that includes service and product knowledge seminars, negotiating and prospecting skill development, real estate transaction process training, and self-guided tutorials covering other topics. Our associates are also assigned to a strategically chosen senior mentor who is ultimately responsible for teaching all aspects of the business and ensuring future success. Additionally, our associates are assigned a corporate mentor who is responsible for macro level career path management.
Our firm seeks candidates with the ability to work hard in a fast-paced, autonomous environment, and thrive on competition. Associates come from a wide variety of academic backgrounds; however, all have demonstrated solid academic performance. College graduates with a background showing leadership and social networking ability such as involvement in a fraternity/sorority, or leadership through athletics have done especially well in our business.
Candidates do not need a real estate license before interviewing, but a real estate salesperson license will ultimately be required. The firm will only hire those applicants who, in our opinion, have the ability for high earning potential and long-term success in the real estate industry.

The interview is with a member of the management team, and is typically held in our local office (or on campus in certain cases). During the second and subsequent rounds of interviews, we will continue to assess your comfort with the firm's culture and ability to succeed in the role.
