Engineering Disciplines: Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer

Position involves providing front line leadership to a skilled trades workforce supporting a manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, distribution and/or development & testing of motorcyles or motorcycle component parts. Major responsibilities include day-to-day coordination and scheduling of skilled trades activities including labor allocation. Position is responsible for leading work group to achieve area safety, quality, on-time delivery, cost and continuous improvement metrics. Optimally balances resource constraints to ensure operations receives support on time and within budget. Must demonstrate the knowledge, skill and ability required to engage a technical workforce. Must demonstrate a willingness to build good relationships through developing strong interpersonal skills to achieve objectives through mutual participation. Strives to foster a culture and workforce that is motivated for continuous improvement by enhancing the overall function of the work group.

Education Required:
Associates degree in Engineering, Operations Management or Manufacturing Technology required, plus a minimum of 3 years direct supervision of skilled trades employees or similar mechanical or technical workforce strongly desired. If the candidate does not meet the degree requirement a combination of relevant education and experience should total the equivalent of 7 years.

Experience Required:
Prior experience in a Unionized manufacturing setting strongly preferred. Experience with all facets of skilled trades activities which may include Performance Measurement, Cost Containment, HVAC, PLC, PC robotic interface, Predictive and Preventative Maintenance, Computerized Maintenance Management, Environmentally Safe Practices, Electrical, Electronic Systems, Injection Molding and Prototype/Product development testing.

Supplemental Information:
Position requires flexibility to work "off-shift" hours and weekends to support production.
