The Database Administrator will be responsible for mission critical production database servers that are hosted in a client/server environment. Successful Database Administrators will be comfortable in a mixed database environment while supporting our database design and infrastructure, monitoring performance, changing data using T-SQL, and optimizing database objects. The Database Administrator will work with a dynamic, collaborative development team in an entrepreneurial environment.

What our Database Administrators do:
Our Database Administrators interact with our development teams to understand the core business and implement database changes, while helping to define database structures and procedures for new applications.

More specifically, our Database Administrators:
Create and maintain database design, as well as assist application developers in data access from C#
Manage and maintain data in production and test databases
Review the SQL programming of existing applications and optimize queries
Experience implementing, managing, and supporting SQL Server 2008
Design and implement backup, recovery, and archiving strategies, while documenting best practices.
Convert logical data model to physical database model, ensuring optimal database performance.

Who we're looking for:
We're looking for top-notch Database Administrators who have a strong technical understanding of database structures and design.

Key qualities in great candidates:
2-3 years relevant work experience
Self-starter who is able to get things done with minimal direction
Strong SQL Server development experience such as database table creation, stored procedures, triggers, database creation, back-up, restore, and database scripts
Excellent written and oral communication skills
SQL Reporting experience a plus
Knowledge of .NET framework 3.5 a plus
