Interns will be given meaningful work assignments or projects within areas directly related to their discipline of study in college. Interns will work a pre-defined schedule for up to 10 weeks typically during the summer however some assignments may last longer. Assignments will allow adequate time to learn the functions and associated activities in their assigned areas.

Provide drafting support through preparation and revision of accurate and complete detail drawings, using computer-aided design software (auto CAD) and Inventor, for manufacturing support and customer information. Works with other drafters, designers and engineers in the preparation of layouts, basic calculations and drawings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Prepare scale component layouts from information furnished by engineers or designers
using Auto CAD.

  • Prepare/revise detail drawings for manufactured/purchased valve components.
  • Prepare various graph and chart drawings as required.
  • Prepare/review assembly specification drawings for new and existing Orbit products.
  • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with Cameron’s policy, procedures.

Education and/or Experience:
Students must have completed their sophomore year and following a recognized course leading to a Bachelors degree in Engineering. Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be fluent in 3D Modeling software Inventor as well as AutoCad.
