Mechanical Engineer
Technical Requirements; the candidate
should be able to perform detailed hand calculations for pipe sizing, pump
sizing, heat transfer and mechanics of materials. In addition, the candidate
should have proficiency in AutoCAD 12 to develop general arrangement drawings,
mechanical detail drawings, and industrial piping drawings. The ability to
generate clear and accurate field notes is a plus. Software requirements are: CAESAR
II, Version 5.30.01, Build 110228, AutoCAD 12, Microsoft Word 2007, Microsoft
Excel 2007, Microsoft Powerpoint 2007, Microsoft Project 2007. The
candidate should have knowledge of the following Codes and Standards: ASME
B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII, Division I, API 650, API 520, API 653. Fulltime, Direct Hire, Salary position in
Savannah GA area with full benefits.
Education:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
(BSME)
·
Credentials: Registered Professional Engineer
·
Experience: Pulp & Paper and Specialty
Chemical w/ 6 to 12 years experience
Managerial
Requirements

The candidate must have prior management
experience and will need to have good communication skills in writing technical
proposals and generating engineering effort hour estimates for potential
projects. In addition the candidate may lead and mentor mechanical designers
and piping designers. Further responsibilities include the review of mechanical
/ piping drawings, providing clear and concise comments for drawing corrections
and revisions. The Candidate may be responsible for inter-discipline coordination.
He/She will ensure that the highest level of design quality, integrity and
performance are maintained with strict adherence to company policies and
procedures.

The candidate should pose good interpersonal
skills and be able to effectively listen and communicate with clients in
providing solutions to problems, developing project design criteria, and aid in
equipment selection and specifications.

Further, experience is required to prepare
technical bid documents and review construction bids. The candidate should be
capable of reviewing material submittals, equipment submittals and vendor
drawings and have the ability to effectively communicate with a contractor’s
requests for information during the construction phase of projects.
