Plan short to medium team product requirements to ensure that corporate customer service and inventory targets are achieved. This is done while considering both material availability and capacity management. Position may be responsible for managing assets across site, region or global locations.
Confirm material availability and capacity to create process orders daily for current in house production to support service objectives. This may include creation of stock transport orders from local HUB or other warehouse facilities.
Review material shortages preventing process orders conversion and follow up with appropriate material planner(s).
Review capacity reports and DS planning board to ensure level loaded forward plan with in capacity limitations. This aids in the decision of over time work of 3rd party assistance. Coordinates and executes outsourced work to 3rd party OV to alleviate capacity contraints.
Evaluate days of supply to ensure proper date maintenance, quantity, sequencing and prioritizing of production runs.
Communicate production requirements and sequencing with Production Scheduler.
Communicate shortages to branded supply planning.
Resolve quality notifications for rejected materials.
Review termination and delay alerts to ensure only needed products are being planned and run.
Minimum of 5 years related experience
Strong computer (SAP Knowledge, Office, outlook, EXOB, etc.) and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently with strong decision making skills.
2 years planning and/or production experience.
APICS certification preferred.
