Working in the Marketing department, and reporting to the Director, Program Strategy, this position has ownership of the preparation of copy for our Academic Partner brands and programs. The Copywriter is responsible for ensuring that industry best practices are implemented to protect the brand and reputation of our institutional partners. In developing language and materials that are consistent with current U.S. standards the expectation is that proper, grammatically correct and powerful writing be produced that drives prospective student response. The Copywriter must bring attention to detail, timely delivery and the ability to build relationships.
Copywriting: Developing original content for email, brochure, website, directory, newsletter, press release, print ad, posters, conferences/trade shows, flyer and other direct response marketing materials
Copyediting: Reviewing Marketing, Media or Client developed content for to ensure brand consistency/standards are met, formatting is aligned to specifications, copy is grammatically correct and that materials are relevant to the audience
All projects handled by the Copywriter are of strategic importance to the Marketing department and are passed directly to the client. Accurate, detailed, and on time delivery of all materials is mandatory. The ability to meet deadlines and work closely with other team members inside or outside of the office is a key area of responsibility.

A bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Public Relations, Communications or related field is preferred.
A minimum of five years of copywriting experience
5+ years of direct response copywriting experience — samples required.
Experience writing for both web and print formats
Strong experience copywriting and testing for online communications – online solicitation and email experience
An understanding of higher education market
A creative, simplified and user-friendly approach to producing content
Strong organizational and communication skills. Great attention to detail
Able to juggle multiple projects while meeting demanding deadlines, producing high quality work and projecting a positive attitude
Strong technical writing skills, particularly as it relates to research, reporting and analysis
