All Nissan internships will offer students the ability to apply classroom studies while networking with professionals and gaining valuable experience. The Summer Intern Program will be 12 weeks long and offer competitive pay and an opportunity to discuss your project with top executives.

Project Description:

The function of this internship is to bring new technologies that are beneficial to the Supply Chain Management (SCM) functions including concept, research, justification, planning and implementation of small to large scale projects. The intern will gain a working knowledge of manufacturing automation in the automotive industry and experience into the high volume supply chain function.

Duties:
  • Research of Industry Practices for Supply Chain at the manufacturing plant level
  • Benchmarking activities internal and external to Nissan and the automotive industry
  • Perform feasibility studies to determine if projects are justifiable
  • Develop and track timelines and implementation plans for specific projects
  • Lead project implementation teams from cradle to grave
  • Coordinate projects with cross functional groups through the 4M process
  • Perform simulations for feasibility studies or upon request
  • Provide general support to Supply Chain functions
  • Perform presentations to all levels of management

Qualifications:
  • Must be able to function autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to provide clear recommendations and feedback
  • Strong project management skills are required
  • Core Information Systems knowledge
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages
  • Manufacturing experience a plus but not required
  • Strong Math skills
  • General Understanding or Wi-Fi and Blue Tooth Technology

Education:
  • Must be currently enrolled in school
  • Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Completed Sophomore level classes
