SUMMARY
This position provides administrative support for the non-deposit investment activities conducted by First Interstate. If an FINRA and Insurance licensed member of the First Interstate Wealth Management team, this position will assist the Investment Specialist and Wealth Advisors to enable the team to achieve their annual business and production goals.
If a licensed member of the team, the team member is required to comply with and complete all rules and requirements of our third-party marketer to maintain and continue their licensing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Supports the sales process as directed by the Supervisor which includes: contacting and scheduling appointments; completing and finalizing call, initiating trade orders, client meetings, file documentation; and initiates follow-up contacts.
Initiate contacts and meet with existing customers to schedule appointments to complete annual portfolio, financial agency rules, regulations and requirements.
Greet and assist customers in person and by telephone in a professional and responsive manner consistent with FI Wealth Management standards and guidelines.
Process current days business including verifying blotters and cashiering.
Print Business and other reports from previous business and process as required.
Maintain and input data systems as required in a high quality and timely manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 2 years related experience and/or training in Brokerage, Trust, Banking or Finance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work well with co-workers. Ability to properly prioritize work load and remain adaptable under pressure. Computer skills essential. Computer experience with Internet, MS Word & MS Excel required. Knowledge of additional applications preferred. Ability to pay attention to detail required, especially in time-sensitive and pressure situations. Looking for a professional, self-driven/motivated, pleasant individual who is committed to ensuring clients always come first.
LICENSES
FINRA Series 63 and Series 7 and State of Wyoming Life, Health and Disability and Variable Annuity licensing are preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
