Craft Brew Alliance representing high quality hand crafted beers with a portfolio from Widmer Brothers Brewing Company, Redhook Brewery, Kona Brewing Co. and Omission has an immediate opening for a Director of Logistics , based in Portland, OR . This position directs and oversees operations within CB A ’s logistics department, including transportation, outside storage, repack operations, finished goods inventories, negotiation with logistics partners, and distribution.

Specific job duties: Ÿ
Support the company’s mission statement and Made True values. Ÿ
Direct inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation, 3 rd party warehouse activities, inventory, and logistics quality management. Ÿ
Lead the team in expanded use of the Logility TPM (transportation planning management) system. Ÿ
Responsible for freight and logistics management providing remote warehouse locations with shipping schedules and planned volumes. Ÿ
Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers. Ÿ
Communicate freight transportation information to customers or suppliers utilizing transportation management information within Logility. Ÿ
Resolve problems around transportation, 3 rd party warehousing, inventory, logistics systems or customer issues. Ÿ
Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment or frequency. Ÿ
Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective or efficient means of transporting products or supplies. Maintain monthly budget adherence reporting. Ÿ
Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios. Ÿ
Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes with replenishment, sales, manufacturing and accounting. Ÿ
Manage offsite inventories and rotation of finished goods. Ÿ
Manage 3 rd party production (variety packs, stickering, etc.) Ÿ
Responsible for communicating needs, scheduling and insuring completion of required repack finished goods. Ÿ
Establish and maintain key performance metrics and targets to drive continuous improvement.
Develop and track supplier scorecards, working with them to rectify less than acceptable performance standards.

Position requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Transportation or Logistics. MBA and/or APICS certification preferred.
Minimum of ten years

of experience in Distribution and Supply Chain Management. Hands-on experience with Logility TPM or similar transportation software programs required . Experience in related Logistics areas advantageous. Working knowledge of various statistical transportation modeling is preferred.
