EOE– Background and Drug/Alcohol Screen prior to hire. JOB SUMMARY 1. Makes and confirms reservations using multi–line telephone/switchboard and extensive multi–screen reservation systems (i.e. Property Management & GDS greater than 110 screens) 2.
Greets, registers, assigns rooms and issues keys to guests. 3. Computes bill, collects payment and makes change for guests. 4.
Handles emergency calls. 5. Monitors Front Desk area for equipment performance, neatness, package delivery, mail and lost & found. 6.
Drive van as necessary. 7. Make copies and send faxes for guests. 8.
Coordinate shuttle and taxi service. 9. Monitor lobby area and front door. 10.
Verify and reconcile registration cards for signatures and data with computer bucket check printout. 11. Inputting of guest reservations into multi–screen reservation system. 12.
Registering guests at check in including securing form of payment, filling out of guest registration card, issuing room key(s), turning on of guest room telephone using multi line phone system. 13. Collecting advance room deposits. 14.
Posting of all incidental guest room charges throughout course of stay. 15. Answering of multi–line phone and taking accurate messages. 16.
Following guest check in and check out procedures. 17. Counting till at end of shift and filling out paperwork to make drop into safe. Job Guidelines 1.
Ability to organize, prioritize and make decisions. 2. Ability to follow directions and work independently with limited supervision. 3.
Ability to follow directions and follow through with instructions and plans. 4. Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 10 hours. 5.
Must be courteous, pleasant and helpful. 6. Possess a valid drivers license. 7.
Ability to speak clearly and communicate effectively. 8. Posses a positive attitude and be oriented toward customer service. 9.
Ability to meet company standards on the "Hotel Shopper". 10. Be bondable.
