Persons Eligible to Apply Applicants must live within 50 miles of the facility address in order to be eligible for this position because the work is performed in the Facility Location and candidates will need to be present for screening activities, including an interview. Functional Purpose Performs mail handling, mail processing, mail delivery, mail collection, mail transportation, and custodial functions, or a combination of such duties on a supplemental basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Makes distribution of and/or cases any class of mail. 2. Delivers mail along the prescribed route; collects mail from designated collection boxes. 3. Culls, faces, and cancels mail. 4. Loads, unloads, and moves bulk mail. Empties mail from mail containers (bags, hampers, etc.) and loads mail into mail containers. Performs other duties incidential to the moving and processing of mail and related mail handling equipment. 5. Performs custodial, cleaner, or other manual laboring duties as assigned. 6. In addition, may perform other miscellaneous duties, as assigned. 7. Has direct public contact . 8. Exercises normal protective care for equipment and materials used. 9. Exercises a normal regard for the safety of self and others. 10. Performs Sales & Services Associate (SSA) window duties as assigned.
