Senior level design/development/leadership role on an OATS regulatory reporting application. Will develop FINRA trading activity reporting applications of 30 million or greater daily message activity.
Primary Responsibilities
Understand the Business Requirements and provide viable technical solutions.
Provide proper design/architecture solutions for System maintenance/performance.
Provide Effort Estimation to project management team for the work assigned.
Assign the work to team members and track the overall development activities.
Make sure that the development team understands the requirements and are providing correct technical solutions.
Review the code to make sure that the code is functional, as per requirements and is optimized for better performance.
Assist Quality Assurance (QA) team in testing the application changes.
Write the code for major/complex application components
Education and Experience:
B.S. (or foreign educational equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics and 5 years’ experience in job offered or 5 years’ experience developing, architecting, and supporting online brokerage regulatory compliance applications
Or, in the alternative,
M.S. (or foreign educational equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics and 2 years’ experience in job offered or 2 years’ experience developing, architecting, and supporting online brokerage regulatory compliance applications
Skills and Knowledge:
1. Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) in developing KDB based applications, including designing KDB databases, Q programming, real-time database, ticker plants, tick data, and interfaces with Java as well as Oracle and SQL Server RDBMS
2. DE in core java application programming--including server socket programming, multi-threading, web programming and interfacing with FLEX on both Solaris and Linux operating systems.
3. DE developing brokerage UIs using FLEX.
