We are looking for an IT Project Manager for our Smithfield, RI facility.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, implementation and maintenance stages for business projects utilizing information technology, typically involving multiple systems impacting many functional areas.

Define requirements; develop methods, procedures, plans and schedules, project coordination, project cost, risk and resource management.

Responsible to work with team(s) of IT professionals, institutionalizing technical and project management processes.

Responsible for the end-to-end execution of project oriented work efforts, and for meeting customer (business) expectations for time, cost and specification(s) definitions.

Manage the definition, design, construction, implementation and close-out of complex and cross-functional IT projects, as well as the coordination of input and communication with all functional organizations that impact project scope, business value, risk, and resource requirements.

Provide high level of expertise in the application of the tools and techniques of the project management discipline, in particular Six Sigma Fast Track.

Act as a liaison between the business and IT. Provide high level of expertise for the collection, analysis and documentation of customer processes and requirements. Provide input into business process redesign efforts.

Consult with users on how to best support the business through effective use of technology.

Have high level understanding of the overall IT applications architecture, business process reengineering skills and understanding of Six Sigma methodology.

Additional Responsibilities

Participates in short-term project planning sessions with one or more customers to improve one or more business processes within an organization, generally involving use and improvement of information systems.

Serves as IT liaison for process improvement, business process and system integration, project status reporting, problem reporting and resolution.

Assesses business needs utilizing a structured requirements gathering process.

Develops and communicates project plans, schedules, cost and metrics.

Provides work direction to assigned project teams, including scheduling and maintaining RAILS.

Develops, writes and communicates business requirements to the IT community for the design and implementation of business solutions.

Manages risk, reviews quality acceptance test plans and tracks the testing process to ensure that business results are adequately tested.

Takes action on potential risks and issues and provides proposals for solutions to senior management if escalation is required.

Utilize six sigma and lean tools.

Participate in the definition and creation of statements of work with suppliers.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field.
5 or more years as an IT Project Lead.

Preferred Qualifications

Manufacturing experience a plus.
Six Sigma Greenbelt and/or DFSS experience a plus.
Experience with and knowledge of business process reengineering concepts a plus.
