Candidate must work with chemicals and bonding agents. Must be able to generate build logs, inspection documents and maintain assembly records. Forklift, boom, crane and lifting straps operational knowledge required. Will perform the following duties: assembly build sequences and methods lay outs, tolerance understanding, print comprehension. Should have a high level of technical skills, experience and judgment of applicable mechanical and some electrical principles.

Physical Demands: while performing the duties of this job, the candidate is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, squat, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The candidate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May work with toxic or caustic chemical. Knowledge of safety stands is necessary.


Assemble space mechanisms to drawing and specification requirements. Work from preliminary and released design drawings, detailed procedures, test specifications, manufacturing planning, oral and written instructions to determine the appropriate method of fabrication and assembly. Diagnose all malfunctions, misfits and make necessary corrections or modifications. Prepares mechanisms for the test department, improves hookups and equipment modifications as directed. Operates or has operational knowledge of mechanical and electrical height gauges, indicators, micrometers, sine plates, precision cleaning and weigh equipment. Able to perform all required bonding operations. Basic knowledge in wiring, crimping, splicing and soldering required.
