Depending on interest and expertise, incumbent may be assigned to direct string orchestra, teach music theory, music appreciation, rock & roll history, chamber ensemble coaching, applied lessons, world music, and music business - in seated or online environments. Position will also include responsibilities for departmental development, recruiting and creating community visibility.

This position may serve on both the Cambridge and Coon Rapids Campuses of Anoka-Ramsey with a home campus of Coon Rapids.

Minimum Qualifications:
Completed Master’s degree with a major in Music or a Master’s degree with 24 graduate quarter/16 semester credits in Music.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference is given to those who have the following: 1) recent college and/or high school teaching experience in Music; 2) Experience designing and teaching online courses, including teaching in digital settings and incorporating multi-media; 3) commitment to and experience in music pedagogy; and 4) actively performing musician; 5) demonstrated experience in recruitment, ensemble building, department leadership, program development and/or music advocacy/visibility within community; and 6) demonstrated commitment to the academic needs of non-traditional students, including nonnative speakers of English, students with disabilities, and first-generation college students;

The applicant should demonstrate knowledge of diverse cultures and populations. Successful candidates will possess and demonstrate the necessary skills and commitment that support one or more of the college’s strategic objectives.
