Hours: 12 hours/week---3 1/2 & 4 hour shifts part time (hours may vary), most weekends expected--- Start time 4:30 or 5:00p.m.
Performs a variety of duties concerning the sanitation and safety of the NFS department in accordance with established food service standards and practices. Some duties include but not limited to: transporting food carts to patient units, operating dish machine, general cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, and basic tray assembly.
Strength to push loaded food carts on carpeting; Listening skills to effectively communicate with co-workers; Ability to establish effective working relationships with co-workers; Ability to maintain safety and cleanliness of food equipment. May need to operate equipment: food carts, dish machine, lowerator’s, trash compactor, hot and cold holding equipment.
When students are providing patient care, treatment, and/or services as a part of their training, any/all employees may be asked to supervise the students.
Minimum of 16 years of age with completion of 8th Grade required. On-the-job training provided, no previous experience necessary.
