Minimum Skills/Requirements

Bachelors degree in Journalism or Communications. Minimum of five to seven years of experience in communications required. Excellent writing skills. Competency with computer software, including MS Office and software.

Requires knowledge of publications and communications in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done, this level includes interpretation of data. Prefer knowledge of fundraising, marketing and/or public relations. Ability to make decisions that require analysis and investigation in order to develop solutions.

Primary Job Functions

The Communications Specialist Foundation will develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to build visibility and donor support for the Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation. This position is responsible for the Foundation’s marketing and communications to donors, including traditional and electronic publications, support for special events, website development and maintenance, and overall writing needs of the Foundation.
