Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Oversees site production and materials planning, site product project management, maintaining sites inventory control and policies. Certify that Teva’s capacities are optimized and maintained at a level that supports business volumes and growth, and that capacity planning is performed at a high level in supply chain and at the plants. Work closely with Market Planning to manage finished goods inventory at levels balanced against customer service needs and financial targets.
Work with Supply Chain Planning on preparing WP and budgets.
Calculate labor and machine requirements for site. Ensuring capacity requirements are clearly identified and communicated.
Support the achievement of the sites’ contribution to the company’s goal of >95% customer service.
Provides inventory leadership to support product transfers and avoid supply gaps; support new product launches.
Manage supply relationships with Market Planners and outside suppliers. Investigate and recommend new and improved planning systems and processes. Provide guidance to sites to focus and arrange schedules. Communicate this data and recommendations to senior management on a routine basis.
Support the integration of external products into our network.

Support and facilitate if needed monthly capacity planning meetings both at the site and above site levels.
Support and innovate on the S&OP process. Back-up to Director to present overall supply chain capacity status to Market Planning and at S&OP meetings; raise significant capacity issues in S&OP
Coach, and develop talent and build a strong succession organization. Implement education and training for all participants in capacity planning processes. Ensure that demonstrated capacities are realistic; periodically attend plant meetings to assess and improve capacity planning performance.
Establish consistent capacity planning practices at all levels; develop and manage a supply chain capacity planning policy. Perform “What if?” simulations to assist in supply chain planning decisions.

Position Requirements

Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Education Preferred
Master’s Degree or higher in related technical or business field of study.

Experience Required:
8 - 12 years experience in manufacturing environment, Supply Chain or Materials Management. Strong knowledge of the Regulatory, Legal, and Financial/SOX dimensions and linkages to and with the Planning organization. Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Materials and general manufacturing processes.

Experience Preferred:
Experience in the Planning, Purchasing and Capacity Planning area is highly desirable.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications needed:
Oracle ERP, Advanced Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, Capacity Planning Tools , APICS Certification.

Physical Requirements Frequency

Able to sit for extended periods of time
Able to use general office and telecommunications equipment
Capable of meeting Teva’s employee attendance requirements

Performance Competencies
Excellent understanding of the MRP process, planning and supply chain processes. Specific experience with Oracle ERP.
Developed and maintain a strong knowledge of the materials/products in specific portfolio
Understanding of purchasing and negotiating processes
Good understanding of markets behaviors and characteristics, in particular related to the generic pharmaceutical business
