The Georgia Regents University (formerly Augusta State University) College of Education invites nominations and applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Education Foundations and Research. Responsibilities include 1) developing and teaching courses in educational research methodology, especially quantitative methods, at the graduate level, 2) conducting and guiding research, and 3) providing service to the College of Education, the university, the community, and the profession. The position requires the Assistant/Associate Professor to maintain an active research agenda, including regular publications, professional presentations, and external grant proposals.
The Department of Educational Leadership, Counseling, and Special Education is one of three departments in the College of Education, whose programs are accredited by NCATE, the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities. The College of Education offers undergraduate and graduate programs. Planning for the first Ed.D. and Ph.D. degree programs to be offered in the College of Education is in process. Minimum qualifications include earned doctorate in Education (or a related field) with a primary emphasis in research methodology and teaching experience in higher education. Experience guiding doctoral research is highly desirable. The successful candidate will demonstrate potential for outstanding scholarly achievement and research productivity, as well as potential for developing a national and/or international reputation in the discipline.
Salary is competitive, and commensurate with training, education, and experience. .
