Travel Agency Manager

Job Summary

The Travel Agency Manager drives and designs programs that offer effective interventions, training and tools to enhance AAA’s Travel sales performance and growth. Leads a team of sales coaches that provide the AAA sales staff with advice on communicating product, policy and sales information to improve effectiveness. Augments local management when needed. Provides a dotted line management of sales staff in order to improve the company’s ability to achieve performance and growth targets. Looks for opportunities to improve performance and provides appropriate interventions to improve sales.

Demonstrated ability to implement seamless customer experience initiatives across branch-level, call center, and internet channels

Ability to manage strategic alliances with external partners

Strong negotiation skills

Ability to manage continuous process improvement

Strong problem-solving, quantitative and analytical skills and proven ability to make data based decisions

Proven strong leadership capabilities

Excellent writing and communication skills

Ability to manage in a remote and distributed work environment

Ability to drive results while dealing with ambiguity

Highly developed people coaching and mentoring skills

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience required

8 – 10 years in a management level or progressively responsible leadership position, to include broad knowledge of sales and/or retail operations, product management, and/or marketing required

At least 5 years of experience managing in a P&L environment of at least 15M required

Certification(s) and/or licensure(s) in Life insurance and P&C insurance required
