The Adjunct Instructor/Emergency
Medical Technician (EMT) Instructor has the overall responsibility for the
academic and administrative integrity of the course; for providing
instruction, identifying and selecting EMS Instructors in coordination with
the Academic Dean, and for ensuring the program is conducted in compliance
with the requirements of the EOC and the curriculum, policies and procedures
of the New York State (NYS) Department of Health (DOH) Bureau of Emergency
Medical Services (EMS). The successful candidate will provide instruction,
ensure all learning and skill objectives are presented and met, administer
exams, and prepare, secure and maintain course and student records.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must
possess a minimum of a Master’s degree and one year of practical experience.
S/he must also have certification as a Certified Instructor Coordinator
(CIC) under the guidelines of the NYS DOH Bureau EMS.
POSITION EFFECTIVE: The position will remain open
SALARY: The starting rate of pay is $72.60/hour.
