Goucher College seeks a full-time development assistant to support the director of major and planned gifts, the senior associate director of major gifts, and two major gift officers. The development assistant will assist in the cultivation, tracking, and stewardship of high level donors. Responsibilities include managing the planned and major gift prospect management tracking systems; recording, tracking, and generating major gift proposals and agreements; arranging travel itineraries; and tracking the major gifts budget. The incumbent will work with the director to administer and monitor all estate and life income gifts and will assist in the production of planned gift proposals on PG Calc software.
Qualified applicants must have outstanding computer skills, specifically in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Superior phone skills and excellent written and oral communications skills are also required. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as a member of a dedicated team; have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; interact with high level donors and their legal and financial advisors; and possess exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
