We are seeking a Data Analyst II to perform routine and ad hoc data analyses using appropriate statistical methods and graphical display standards.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide database and analytical support for multiple initiatives, projects, and programs.
Develop advanced knowledge of JMP, Minitab, SAS and other customer information systems, and recommend ways to leverage systems to drive customer-focused, data-driven analysis.
Provide systems training and support to users, and serve as an internal consultant on customer data management and customer data quality management.
Design, implement, and deliver standard and ad hoc reports, exception reports, measurements, and analyses.
Conduct analysis and provide business decision support and insight.
Drive for continuous improvement in reporting and data analysis processes.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, engineering, life sciences, or a combination of equivalent education and work experience.
EXPERIENCE: Four years relevant work experience or advanced academic experience in business, statistics, engineering, life sciences, or related field.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Advanced knowledge of data, databases, and their manipulation; advanced Access, Excel, and statistical software (JMP, Minitab, SAS) knowledge.
Ability to quickly learn and leverage various software tools and systems.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong knowledge of statistical methods used for data analysis; SPC, descriptive statistics, basic statistical tests such as t tests, ANOVA, Confidence Intervals, etc
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Detail orientation and superb follow-through.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Effective communication skills.
Supervision of 2 to 4 lab personnel
Drive and initiative.
Knowledge of Oracle SQL or other databases preferred.
Experience in a GMP / FDA regulated environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Extensive computer use.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Normal office environment.
