This position works with the Development, Testing, Incident and Problem Management groups to implement new applications in production, install new releases of existing applications and troubleshoot issues across Production and Non-Production environments.
-Develops and maintains documentation related to the design, installation, administration, and maintenance of multiple Linux systems in a distributed computing environment
-Proactively suggest ways of improving system stability, availability, performance and reliability
-Prioritize and resolve multiple complex and critical issues
-Creates and modifies Perl scripts for task automation, resource monitoring and performance monitoring
-Troubleshoot and maintain critical production and testing environments. Diagnose and address performance and tuning issues whenever and wherever they occur. Identify reoccurring issues and implement resolution plan
-Perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures and present to management
-Work from a ticket queue (Remedy) to resolve application related issues

At least 3 years of production application support and troubleshooting experience in a Linux or Unix environment
At least 2 years of Perl scripting experience
Experience in a Network Monitoring Environment
Knowledge of Oracle or MySQL databases and ability to query/script
Understanding of large enterprise multi-tier application environments
