The Network & VoIP Manager’s role is to ensure the stable and optimal operation of GBCI’s network services, including voice and video infrastructure. This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing voice and video infrastructures, and network connectivity across the organization. In addition, the Network Manager will oversee the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network, VoIP hardware, software, and inter-connectivity. This individual will also supervise staff in analyzing and resolving network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate manner. In addition, the Network Manager will also provide and maintain internal end user training where appropriate.
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
1. Education and Experience:
a. Information Systems Associates degree or strong, relevant experience required.
b. Minimum of 5 years experience in enterprise routing and switching.
c. Minimum of 3 years experience in VoIP.
d. Prefer 2+ years of staff supervision experience.
e. JNCP, CCNP or similar industry certification preferred.
2. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
a. Expertise in network operations technologies such as routers, switches, routing protocols, vlans.
b. Strong understanding of VoIP and structured cabling.
c. Proficient in managing Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
d.Strong network analysis and troubleshooting experience.
e. Superior problem-solving skills and ability to react quickly to arising problems.
f. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
G. Ability to work independent of direct supervision.
