We are currently seeking a Transportation Practice Builder based in Lexington, Louisville or Frankfort, KY .

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Marketing our services to clients in the state of Kentucky.
Negotiating critical issues with top-level engineers, planners and officers within the company and external organizations.
Managing a team

Practice Building:
Develop the three year strategic plan for the transportation practice, ensuring that it is in alignment with Corporate and Division plans.
Identify appropriate clients, building the appropriate service teams with actionable service plans to achieve sales and performance goals
Ensure HNTB Standards of Performance are met.
Make Go/No Go decisions on sales pursuits.

Project Management:
Ensure performance standards are met or exceeded on each project (meeting quality, budget, schedule and client satisfaction goals).
Participate in project reviews on all projects.
Oversee the negotiating and contracting on major projects.
Perform client audits.

People:
Communicate often with employees to ensure employee retention.
Select key staff, recruit and develop existing staff.
Succession Planning.
Career Planning and Development/Performance Management

Basic Qualifications:
BS in Civil Engineering
Kentucky professional engineering license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
15 +years professional experience with a strong transportation background, specifically working with KYTC
Project experience managing multi- disciplinary projects
Experience managing staff
