Job Summary The Director of Supplier Management is responsible for the design, dissemination, management and ongoing governance of a comprehensive service offering for Supplier Management incorporating elements of performance, risk, governance, information, reporting and training. Reporting to the VP, Procurement this is a highly visible and critical role within the Procurement & Supplier Management organization.

Individual typically has 5+ years related work experience and 3+ years of management experience and may have significantly more

Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Responsibilities will include:
Design and lead a comprehensive, proactive service offering for MassMutual based on Voice of the Customer that drives the clear benefits of MassMutual's contracting, performance and risk mitigation Align Supplier Management activities to the strategic priorities of the Business Units Create impact, influence Senior Leadership and Relationship Managers/Executives and gain buy-in for the program Manage/disseminate Supplier Management business acumen to Supplier Relationships Managers Manage/disseminate Information Reporting to Supplier Relationship Managers Leverage/initiate industry peer groups to create best practices in Supplier Management Manage the creation of training tools for the Enterprise to educate MassMutual Supplier Relationship Managers Manage the development of marketing tools and on-going communication to keep Supplier Management in the forefront of our Business units activities Seamlessly integrate Supplier Management offering with overall Procurement Services Drive governance over our key suppliers from a performance and risk perspective connecting our contracts to their behavior
Knowledge of industry perspective regarding Supplier Management The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of recent, directly relevant experience BS Degree highly preferred
