DESCRIPTION

The Membership Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the membership desk at the branch. Along with serving as the lead membership services representative, the incumbent also supervises the member service representatives who serve as first point of contact for members and future members.

DUTIES

Sets the example for the front desk staff including membership service representatives.

Creates the weekly/monthly schedule for membership staff.

Trains new and existing front desk staff on membership policies and procedures, including guest service expectations.

Leads the front desk staff team in all processes necessary to perform their job (computer, phone, customer service etc).

Supports the Membership and Marketing Director on special projects, as needed.

Works staff-on/director on duty shifts as required.

Works nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Models behavior consistent with our core values.

Assists the Marketing Director in hiring and evaluating front desk staff.

Assists with other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Position requires the completion of 2 years of college or equivalent experience related to working with children in sports setting. Must be 21 years of age. Incumbent must have prior experience or training in staff supervision and management. Must be a team player with exceptional organization skills. Must have strong communication skills and the ability to relate well to YMCA members, staff, and a diverse community. This position requires certification of CPR, AED, First Aid, and BBP within 60-days of hire date.
Employee must be able to drive, with class "C" driver license. Sets the example for the front desk staff including membership service representatives.
