Riccione Resources the Recruitment Firm with over 27 years experience is proud to announce a Software Engineer opportunity with our client This is a 6 month contract position with the goal to go fulltime What will interest you about this firm and opportunity It combines the entrepreneurship of a smaller firm with the stability of a larger organization Growth industry Successful track record over 70 years in business Excellent professional staff high retention New position Decision making opportunity Make immediate impact on the success of this operation We placed a Software Engineer with this firm 6 months ago on contract and they are now offering him a fulltime position The project is definitely new technology in the drilling industry and presents an opportunity to gain experience in a market that has a strong long term career outlook for engineers The project is an incubated startup within a large corporation with potential for expansion to a standalone existence Our client is looking for a proactive experienced person that can be a selfstarter in a RD startup environment Responsibilities Code development of Java based application in the oilfield technology space Implementation of defined algorithms and functional blocks based on proven Matlab and simulation results Development of web GUI physical and database IO drivers Interface with both RD engineers and physicists as well as key user groups to refine project requirements Some travel to Austin and testing locations required (25) Qualifications BS in EE CE or CS Senior Java development experience required LAMP stack or MySQL experience preferred JavaScript andor HTML5 experience preferred Industrial controls experience with profilesinterfaces such as Profibus and Simatic preferred Implementation experience with high HP VFD motor control systems preferred
