CTG is in immediate need of multiple
SuSE LINUX Systems Administ
rators to support a large retail customer’s growing Linux environment.
The SuSE Linux Systems Administrators will provide focused Linux Software Technical Support for a Fortune 20 Retail customer
. The SUSE LINUX Systems Administrators will analyze technical problems & create solutions involving the use of existing techniques or tools. The SUSE LINUX Systems Administrators will be responsible for daily Linux systems administrative / system support duties, which would include on call support, carrying a pager, and third shift rotations as well as proactive monitoring of the LINUX environment and skills transfer to team members.
Qualifications
The SuSe Linux Systems Administrators must have experience in these areas:
Linux OS (Suse 10x/11x) Administration/Support
Strong Debugging Skills including kernel knowledge and how to solve internal systems problems, including developing and validating bug fixes
Ability to interface closely with a development team for short and long-term software fixes
Strong Korn / BASH / Perl shell scripting skills
RPM Packaging
Day to day administration skills along with LINUX monitoring
Solid understanding of networking Networking including TCP/IP experience
Ability to perform OS Updates
Virtualization software (Xen) experience
Hadoop skills are preferred but not a requirement
Storage - iscsi, sas, drbd experience
React to fix field escalated issues promptly
Education/Mentoring of other team members
Good Customer Support skills
Good Verbal and Written Communication skills
Good Troubleshooting and Analytical Skills
Rollout and project management experience is a plus
SUSE LINUX systems administrator for this role should be able to understand a large scale, enterprise culture/organization and have previous experience working in a large scale environment.
Should be a good problem solver with the ability to adapt and be very business savvy.
English / Spanish Bilingual and English / Spanish / Portuguese Trilingual candidates are welcome to apply though that is not a requirement for this job, we do have openings for skilled LINUX administrators who can speak those languages.
Additional Project Information: Project Duration: Ongoing W-2 Contract renewed at the beginning of each calendar year
Project Location: Bentonville, Arkansas / No telecommuting option. All hired candidates must relocate to Bentonville, Arkansas.
Employment Type: Available on a W-2 basis only; Due to customer contract restrictions no third party applications will be accepted

Target pay rates are DOE and are negotiable based on previous experience.
