Florida Hospital at Connerton Long Term Acute Care is our state-of-the-art 50-bed hospital located in central Pasco County. Care is rendered in a variety of settings to include our 4-bed ICU, two 23-bed Med/Surg units and an on-site operating room suite. Services include a full-service Pharmacy; Laboratory; Radiology Services; Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy and Respiratory Therapy. Our facility practices a patient-family centered care philosophy and an interdisciplinary caregiver team approach.

Job Summary:
Resposible for Quality Management, Infection Control, Risk Management and Employee Health oversight. Prepares quality data, analyzes data and works with all managers to create action plans. Prepares for key meetings, such as: Board, Medical Staff and Quality meetings. Experienced with Joint Commission and other regulatory agency interface; knowledge of CMS Core Measures data reporting. Previous hospital Quality Management experience.

Provide overall leadership and direction for implementation, review and revision of the hospital Patient Safety and Performance Improvement Plan. Responsible to provide a planned systematic, organization-wide approach to identifying, designing, measuring, prioritizing and monitoring all quality management activities, including new processes and services. Maintains and administers a framework for continuously monitoring and improving the quality of care and service provided to patients. Provide leadership in quality improvement methods at an organizational, departmental, and individual level, including defining appropriate aims and measures, analyzing and interpreting data, managing change and facilitating improvement teams. Develops and implements a process to ensure continual compliance to policies and standards set forth by governmental, regulatory, and accrediting agencies. Coordinates Patient Safety processes with Risk Management, including Root Cause Analyses. Coordinate Medical Staff quality and peer review data, including FPPE and OPPE data with the Medical Staff Office. Work with the AHS Office of Clinical Effectiveness to promote quality initiatives and collaborative in alignment with AHS corporate goals and mission. Responsible to serve as the Joint Commission liaison and coordinating survey and survey preparation activities while serving as the resource for all entities within the hospital. Serves as facilitator and staff support to various committees including The Joint Commission Steering, the Board of Trustees Performance Improvement Executive Council, Quality Improvement Council, Medical Staff Performance Improvement Committee, and the Clinical Standards and Forms Committee. Oversees the development, review, revision and publishing of all Patient Care Services and Institutional Policies and Procedures. Directs and leads staff in Performance Measurement, Clinical Standards, and Clinical Decision Support departments. Develop and update as appropriate any pertinent departmental policies.

Relevant Education:
Bachelors degree in Nursing, healthcare or related field is required

Preferred Education:
Masters Degree in Nursing or healthcare related field preferred

Special Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:
RN, State of Florida is required


Relevant Experience:
Minimum of five years of experience in nursing practice. Leadership and teaching experience with working knowledge of Joint Commission Standards, State and Federal regulations, and professional standards and practice issues. Evidence of experience in successful leadership of organizational quality management programs.
