RESPONSIBILITIES SHALL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
A working lead who performs quality inspections and directs the activities of other QC inspectors and analysts. Provides leadership,
and training for assigned QC personnel. Coordinates with the Flight Manager to carry out duties in an effective and efficient manner. Develops and executes scheduled and unscheduled inspection schedules to determine the condition of assigned equipment and proficiency of maintenance personnel as outlined in the Quality Control MSEP plan. Administers and participates in the other Quality Control Programs IAW the Quality Control Plan. Provides technical advice and assistance to the maintenance supervisors and the work force. Administers the Functional Check Flight and Weight and Balance Programs. Through objective sampling, observations, and analysis of findings, provides the QC Manager with means of determining the overall condition of the maintenance effort. Identifies potential problem areas and suggests solutions. Monitors QC reports and recommends corrective measures to improve maintenance quality and prevent the development of adverse trends. Ensures personnel are trained and practices good housekeeping, tool control, supply discipline, FOD awareness/prevention, proper disposal of materials, and safety at all times. Reviews training products for accuracy and schedules personnel for required training. Coordinates section activities in the absence of the supervisor. Ensures there is a positive working relationship and interface with other sections and the customer. Inspects completed work and evaluates employee performance. Completes employee performance reviews. Provides supervisor an evaluation of employee performance and recommends actions to improve employee performance. May be selected to perform special certifications including Red X inspections.
May be required to be qualified on different MDS aircraft. Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed. Must promote Company values, policies, and standards of conduct. Must be customer oriented and ensure professional coordination with Operations and other base agencies.
Shall perform other duties assigned to include TDY and travel. Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required.
High school graduate or equivalent is required. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Possess the ability to read and interpret technical data and special operating instructions. Must have a minimum of six years recent aircraft maintenance quality control experience for assigned aircraft. Must be qualified on at least one of the aircraft types supported. Specialized aircraft maintenance courses and technical schools for assigned aircraft are required. Qualified to perform weight and balance checks. Must encourage, promote, and instill a cooperative team relationship by using tact and a professional approach during inspections and observations of the maintenance effort.. Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line drivers license. If required, must be able to qualify or a security clearance. Physical exertion requirement is medium
